Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American actor and singer is extremely famous. Raised by her mother within the USA she faced numerous racial insults and made her feel being unwelcome. After she participated in an event at school and was given great praise for her performance at the age of 9 the young girl started to feel more confident. This not only increased her confidence but was also a change in the direction in which she went on to pursue her professional career. She graduated at the age of 22 with a degree from the Julliard School in New York. As she was turning 23, she started her professional career on Broadway with Paul Simon's The Capeman. Then, aged 23 her first film debut was You've Got Mail. The biggest accomplishment of her career occurred with her portrayal of The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's first Broadway production. She did not only get the Tony Award, but her performance was also praised by the critics. The following year, she appeared as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC, she gained greater appreciation. Known as a singer she has also released a single as well as an extended version of her play. She's also an activist who is a tireless advocate for LGBT rights.
